Northern Adriatic from the Slovenian Littoral, Istria to Croatian Littoral and Kvarner is full of interesting places for the protection and presentation of the maritime heritage. Along the basic museum institutions of a long tradition such as the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka and the Maritime Museum of Sergej Mašera Piran, especially interesting are Izolana – the house of the Sea in Izola, former salt warehouse Monfort in Portorož, Eco-museum House of batana in Rovinj, Eco-museum House of the Sea in Mošćenička Draga, House of the fishermen in Jadranovo, House of Lovran's guc in Lovran, Interpretation centre of the maritime heritage of the island of Krk in the town of Krk and the schooner Nerezinac as an interpretative centre in Mali Lošinj.
