Lovran pasara, like other pasara boats, is recognizable by her round hull and flat stern, or transom. The Lovran pasara has a rounded stem and an almost vertical transom. This pasara is built without a deck with a smaller thwart at the bow and flat keel in her entire length. The pasara has one mast and is sailed with a mainsail and a jib. Pasara boats were used in fishing, transport of cargo and people, as auxiliary boats of sailing ships, sand dredgers and fishing boats (with lights), etc. Today's purpose of this pasara is to promote the shipbuilding heritage of Lovran and participate in events and regattas of traditional boats across the Adriatic.
