Mošćenička Draga, nekad ribarska lučica, a danas atraktivna turistička destinacija, nastoji što više valorizirati svoju bogatu ribarsku i pomorsku baštinu. U tom nastojanju visoko mjesto zauzima Smotra i regata tradicijskih barki na jedra MALA BARKA koja se u Mošćeničkoj Dragi organizira tradicionalno sredinom srpnja od 2009. godine. Organizatori manifestacije su Ekomuzej Mošćenička Draga u suradnji s Katedrom Čakavskog sabora Općine Mošćenička Draga (Sekcija za tradicijske barke Draške barke), Turistička zajednica i Općina Mošćenička Draga. Na manifestaciji se mogu vidjeti, u svojoj ljepoti i raskoši, tradicijske barke tipa guc, pasara, gajeta, leut, batana i dr. koje su opremljene tredicijskim jedrima (oglavno, latinsko, sošno, strmo). Osim regate tradicijskih barki, manifestacija obiluje edukativnim sadržajima kao što su demonstracijska priprema ribolovnih alata i lov ribe, obnova tradicijskih barki, izradu i krpanje mreža, soljenje ribe, izradu konopa na tradicionalan način, izradu jedara, opremanje barki jarbolom i jedrima, provodi se i demonstracijsko jedrenje i veslanje na tradicijskim barkama, a sadržaji su namijenjeni svim dobnim skupinama stanovnika, posjetitelja i turista. Manifestacija obiluje i atraktivnim maritimnim sadržajima kao što su popratne tematske izložbe i popularna predavanja, revijalno veslanje na tradicijskim barkama uz glazbenu pratnju, revijalno jedrenje za djecu i posjetitelje, smotra tradicijskih barki u plovidbi ispred rive sa svjetlosnim efektima i uz pratnju klasične glazbe, veličanstveni vatromet s mora uz glazbu, kao i glazbenim koncertima, bogatom autohtonom gastronomskom ponudom u restoranima i sajmom eko-etno proizvoda Kvarnera. Sve navedeno Smotru i regatu tradicijskih barki MALA BARKA u Mošćeničkoj Dragi čini jednom od najznačajnijih i najprepoznatljivijih manifestacija ovog tipa na Jadranu.
