Na blagdan sv. Nikole, 6. prosinca, vjernici iz raznih dijelova otoka hodočaste crkvici, a posebno je zanimljivo hodočašće onim morskim putem, u konvoju mnogobrojnih plovila koji kreću iz dviju loparskih luka i spajaju se netom prije dolaska na svoje odredište, pred zavjetnu crkvicu Sv. Nikole.
Opis
The church of St. Nicholas is located on the northern side of the cape Sorinj. The location of the church is very significant: exposed to the Senj bora and the troubles that sailors encountered there, the church was built as a trademark with a dedication to St. Nicholas – the patron saint of sailors. The church is single-nave with a semicircular apse facing northeast. It was built in the late Middle Ages, but in the meantime it was neglected and derelict. With the help of the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Lopar undertook a project to restore the original function of the church in order to revitalize the centuries-old votive continuity with the dedication of St. Nicholas. The project was completed in the mid-2012.
