Evidentirano nepokretno kulturno dobro na području Općine Punat kao pojedinačna građevina.
Opis
The church of St. Dunat, located between Punat and Kornić on the island of Krk, is representative of old Croatian churches with a central cross-shaped ground-plan in the shape of a trefoil with a dome and trompes. It is a rare example of architecture of that time in the northern Adriatic. It was built on the foundations of an earlier ancient building built of hewn stone. The construction of the church, dating from the second half of the 12th century, is associated with the spread of architectural influences from Zadar when the Zadar Archdiocese was founded at the beginning of the second half of the 12th century, with the Diocese of Krk as a suffragan at that time. The immediate surroundings of the church expanded as a potential archaeological site due to the protection of the site owing to this cultural asset.
