The parish of St. Lucia in Kostrena was founded in 1789. The church of St. Lucia as an edifice was consecrated in 1714. This parish church was thoroughly renovated from 2011 to 2013 for the 300th anniversary of the consecration, which was celebrated on 5 May 2014.
