Tunel namijenjen za transport ugljena nalazi se ispod razine mora u bakarskoj uvali. Prilikom izgradnje podvodnog tunela za potrebe Koksare Bakar, snimljen je film.
Valorizacija
The tunnel is located in the bay of the town of Bakar and connects the left side of the coast with the right side. It was built in the mid-1970s out of huge concrete pipes and its main purpose until the mid-1990s was to transfer coal from the bulk carrier wharf to the other side where there was a large plateau with a coke plant and a high red-and-white chimney. Today, nothing remained of that heavy industry that destroyed this coastal town forever. The coke plant was destroyed, as was the chimney, which allegedly poisoned the environment all the way to Slovenia and beyond. Apart from the destroyed coke plant, this underwater 500-metergiant was the only thing thatremained.
