Typical stone building with lighthouse purpose from 19th century.
Opis
The Trstenik lighthouse, one of the largest in our country, stands on a low, but very indented islet, which has three coves at only 1.4 km. The most important bay Pristanište is located on the southern part of the northeast side of the island with a stone pier and a ramp for smaller boats. On the southwest side of the island there is the bay Portić with a collapsed stone pier that makes it impossible for boats to dock. The lighthouse consists of a stone house with a 12-meter high tower from which the light characteristic WR DFl 10s (2 + 8)s is provided. The stone house was built with a ground floor and first floor. On the ground floor there are living rooms and lighthouse pantries, and on the first floor there are several bedrooms. Within the lighthouse building there are two smaller houses with pantries in which the bread oven is located, and not far away there is a barn for domestic animals. The lighthouse building has been left to its own since there is no staff, and often ill-intentioned newcomers leave permanent traces on it.
